The Al-Shams Villa, a 2024 project located in Trablus, Libya, is a sophisticated example of modern multi-residential architecture. The design utilizes a bold, tiered geometric form to create a luxurious urban residence that balances privacy with open-air connectivity.
Architectural Composition & Materiality
Monolithic Framing: The building is defined by massive, vertical stone-textured columns that frame the various living volumes and extend upward to support a dramatic, slatted rooftop pergola.
Diverse Material Palette: The facade features a high-contrast blend of smooth off-white concrete panels, rich wood-toned accents, and dark, stacked-stone textures.
Dynamic Elevations: The structure incorporates a series of recessed and cantilevered glass-railed balconies, providing private outdoor spaces for each unit while adding depth to the building’s profile.
Spatial Design & Features
Expansive Glazing: Double-height glass curtains and large floor-to-ceiling windows maximize natural light and offer expansive views of the surrounding palm-lined streets.
Refined Ground Level: The base of the villa is anchored by a dark, stone-clad podium with large glass storefront-style entries, integrating the residence seamlessly with the streetscape.
Urban Integration: Nestled among classic and modern structures, the villa stands out as a contemporary landmark, complemented by tropical landscaping and integrated perimeter greenery.
Our headquarters reflects our philosophy: transparency, structure, and connection with the environment.
